My third child..i mean my husband...

The excitement of our day today was my husband coming home with a new Denali.....but it was short lived as he hobbled out of the car. As I ask what happened he proceeds to tell me that he dropped 2500 lbs of tile on his pinky toe! OUCH!!! As I gave him a kiss and a pat on the back with a little "suck it up" to go with it...I felt a little bad when I saw this...

Yes...I know...my husband needs a pedicure, but look at that toe. It just keeps getting worse. And since I broke my middle toe about 6 months ago...I feel his pain.

So I am fetching things for him like a dog...I am already over it! :)

I think instead of the bunting I would do a monogram...hmmmm, I need to get a monogramming machine....

This is why I love the Blog world...

Because I find awesome ideas like this. I am a sucker for an old window made to be something else. I have one that Jason made into a shelf with each window holding something sweet. But I would have them in every room if I could pull it off. I think that I would put fabric behind the glass instead of paper but I like the idea just the same. Here is the tutorial.

The cast is OFF!!

Hallelujah!! Although the process as a whole was not bad, Ethan was physically dirty. Its hard to bathe a 4 year old with out getting the cast wet. No matter how much you protect it! Now the struggle is going to be working on straightening it out. I am sure that having it at a right angle for 6 weeks would feel very strange once it is free to move. But he is being very brave and gets very excited when he gets it a little straighter and straighter. Now lets hope and pray for no more broken bones anytime soon!

BOO!!

Red ninja and Tinker Bell! We had a fun filled weekend...3 days to be exact of trick or treating! I was DONE by Sunday night. Ethan still has red in his hair! Why do I do this to myself...lol

yep, it finally happened!

My little dare devil finally bit the dust...literally! Ethan took a fall at preschool and broke his arm right above his elbow. He had surgery 2 day later and all bones are back together! He is now sporting a fantastic NC State red cast!

Cutest site EVER!

Who doesn't like a DIY idea. Especially when it makes the cutest shirts, burp clothes, towels....or whatever you can think 0f. Above is a sample but it doesn't even show all of the cuteness that they have! Here it is.... http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheGreenGooseCo

And may I add that it is CHEAP. I am sure that many of you have seen shirts like these in many catalogs and websites for $25 or more. This can be done for less than $10! Target has t-shirts for $6....plus the iron on....there y0u go! I just ordered 3 and my cost...plus shipping..was $10! Can't beat that!

New Dresses!!

I have been busy working on this "A" line dress/top and matching bottoms. I have wanted to learn this pattern for months and finally had the time to sit down and figure it out. I'm still working out some kinks but I think they are looking pretty cute!! I just love that Christmas pattern!!

Super excited about the corduroy too!!!!

Fall is a comin'

You wanna know why? Cause preschool has started and so has soccer! HALLELUJAH!! It has been a long summer....fun, but long. I have waited for 3 hours of "me" time for 3 months now. Its amazing how much you miss something until it's gone. The only negative is a new 8:30 game time on Saturday mornings.

And how cute are these 2? I mean I could just eat them up. My babies are growing up...I am one proud momma!

Lott Beach 2010

We has a fun-freakin-fastic time! The beach is always fun and with 7 cousins to play with...what could be better. I do have to say that this was the first year where I could actually sit in a chair and watch my kids play without chasing one or the other all over the place. They both loved the water and sand. We had a ball!

"Meet the Pack!"

Are you ready for some footballllllllllll...

We had a fantastic "Meet the Pack" day at NC State! Ethan was in "hog heaven"! LOL, can't believe I just said that! Anyway, as we were walking around I saw tons of cute little girls in handmade Wolfpack dresses. So I thought, "I can do that". So....here it is...sadly, I have yet to make the Wolfpack ones....I keep saying that I am saving the best for last.

PS....I know that I am not "legally", "allowed' to make these as it is a copyright infringement. So, I won't tell if you won't!!! :)

Our sweet new friend Carter!

This is our newest friend, Carter Williams! I mean, how stinking sweet is this?!? Sophie was in love with the real life baby doll. She was holding his hands and feet and patting his belly. It really was sweet how gentle and mothering she was. He really is the cutest, sweetest little thing. We are so glad that Carter Lee Williams is here, we love you!

musings....

So on my mind all day had been a conversation that I had with Ethan this morning. Like he does everyday he gives me a play by play of what he is doing at all times. So this morning was no different. As I was folding laundry Ethan comes in the room and proceeds to tell me all about his poo....yes his poop. It was all I could do not to laugh. He told me how many times he wiped, how big, how it came out, and how long it took. I know that is a little TMI, but it was so cute that he thought that this was something so important that he needed to share. Little boys and there minds......priceless.

Family Beach Trip

This was our first beach trip with just the 4 of us. We had a blast. We go to the beach every year with Jason family and my family separately. And as nice as that is, it was refreshing to be on our own schedule. The kids were exhausted by the end of the night and Jason and I were able to sit on the porch and spend some time together. We can't wait to do it again next year!!

Back on the horse...

After a little hiatus, I am back at the sewing table!! YAY!! I have found this adorable pinafore pattern and I am loving making it! The best part...it is reversible!! 2 shirts in one! The other great thing about this shirt is that it is a dress on a baby and then a shirt on a toddler! I bought one for Sophie when she was 6 months old and she still wears it!! I love this fabric too. The back criss crosses for an even cuter looking top! I wish I had one!! I am hoping to take some to Pout Coutour this week!

I am taking a few to get monogrammed before I put them together so that both sides will have a monogram! How cute is that!! I will post pictures as soon as I am done! Maybe I can get Sophie to model one!

LKN

YAY!!! We finally had our first boat day as a family!! Now that the weather is warm and the water is not freezing, it is boating season! Ethan was a little more than excited and Sophie was not so much! HA!! We had a great time!!

Ethan's last soccer game

This has been a fantastic season!! Ethan loves it....which is a huge change from fall soccer. I think that he really enjoyed fall soccer, it was just hard for him to go for the full hour. That was the biggest change from Fall to Spring. He was all in it this Spring session. He made us very proud and we are looking forward to some fundamentals camps this summer at Davidson College. We know that he is only 4 but he is showing some skill already!! With his daddy"s genes that is a given!! Jason was a great athlete!! So we will see.

WOW..what a week!

It has been a crazy few weeks....it seems like all of my hair clients needed a touch-up....which is great, but exhausting. Although, I will say that everyone looked fabulous as they left. I am back at the sewing machine today and finished a few projects! YAY!! Cross one off the list, now onto the 8 others. (sigh) I plan to make my girlfriends curtains and more bags for Hip Chix!! Will post pictures soon!

little bunny foo-foo

We had a fantastic weekend!! It started off with a trip to Bass Pro shop for Ethan, Jason and Papa Chuck. It was Papa's birthday and he wanted to spend the day with Jason and Ethan at the Bass Pro Shop. Saturday we had Jason's family down for a bar-b-que and a cruise on the lake. It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend a Saturday. Sunday was...EASTER!! We usually go a little overboard on Easter because Ethan's birthday is the end of November and Sophie's is the first of February. So they have to go all year without anything....I know, so sad. :) So we make up for it at other times. Day of events: the Easter bunny came and we went to church...had a Easter egg hunt at at church..came home...grabbed a few things....drove to Clemmons...helped prepare lunch...ate...had another Easter egg hunt....visited with family...cleaned up....went to parents...spent the night....WHEW!! that wears me out just typing it. It was tiring but fun...and the kids had a blast!!

We are on Spring Break now and are going to enjoy a relaxing week around the house!! Here are a few pics of the weekend...

We had a little Lacrosse action in the backyard

Laurie, Linda, Kristen

daddy and his girl!

I just love this one...you can totally see the excitement about the Easter egg hunt!! So cute!
