My adorable kids...Picture Day!!

Ethan was in pain...as you can imagine

This is not staged...this is how he fell asleep.

in my boots.

this is how they sit and watch tv. They really are sweet together.

Again..this is how he fell asleep in my bed.

Their first snowman!

He is a dare devil.

And this is how he landed.

My sweet Aunt Kay!

Well today is a sad day for me because my aunt Kay has been in the hospital for about a week now after having a stroke and things have gone down hill fast. My mom just called and informed me that they have turned off life support and removed the feeding tube after she suffered another stroke yesterday. She passed away early this morning. I can't even begin to think about how my Uncle Ken is feeling. They were two peas in a pod and did everything together. I pray for his emotional healing and spiritual healing as he begins to deal with a life without his partner.

Kay, you were a wonderful Aunt and a great person. You will be missed.

mummmmmmmm...waffles

before I had Sophie I used to make homemade waffles ALL the time...well life got a little busy and and therefore no waffles have been made. So a few weekends ago I made some and let me say that it was a hit!!

Bubbles and more bubbles...

So my new obsession is.....Baby Bubbles!! I have always loved putting them on Sophie and they just look so cute. So I ordered a pattern and voile!! Here is a link for the pattern. I added the ruffle neck instead of doing the pillowcase closure. I have made the pillowcase ones and they are just as cute!! I will post more pictures soon!!

latest house project!

We are marking off our last project from our list. I have been wanting to make a statement out of our fireplace for a while and thanks to my sis-in-law I found the answer. Update our molding and take the molding up the wall. If you can imagine a very basic mantel...so we replaced the existing molding on the fireplace front and then added the molding above. Now it looks like a statement. I love it. Oh, and we replaced the marble with glass tile. Thanks to my hubby and father-in-law for their hard work!!

Snow Day!!

We had a GREAT snow weekend!! Although, I must say, that I am ready for it to go away!! And I just heard on the news that there is more in the way. NOOOOOOOO!! One day out of Preschool is enough...my kids do better on a schedule. Plus, Sophie's birthday party is on Saturday at Build-A-Bear!! We are all excited about that, I think that the kids will love it. So even more reason to wish the snow away!!

With all of the white stuff on the ground Jason and I thought it would be fun to invite friends over for the afternoon! Glenn, Tara, Tyler and Reid Setzer; and Tommy, Betsy and Alexa Shores came and enjoyed the afternoon. We had cocktails and chili and the kids played in the snow and around the house. When it got dark, we roasted S'mores outside. The kids LOved it!! We made the most of what could have been a very boring day!! Thanks to the Shores and Setzer's for coming over!!

So let's all say a little prayer that the snow or ice or sleet or whatever it is that happens doesn't stick around and that life will resume!! I am ready for Spring and some warmer weather!!
