Back on the horse...

After a little hiatus, I am back at the sewing table!! YAY!! I have found this adorable pinafore pattern and I am loving making it! The best part...it is reversible!! 2 shirts in one! The other great thing about this shirt is that it is a dress on a baby and then a shirt on a toddler! I bought one for Sophie when she was 6 months old and she still wears it!! I love this fabric too. The back criss crosses for an even cuter looking top! I wish I had one!! I am hoping to take some to Pout Coutour this week!

I am taking a few to get monogrammed before I put them together so that both sides will have a monogram! How cute is that!! I will post pictures as soon as I am done! Maybe I can get Sophie to model one!

YAY!!! We finally had our first boat day as a family!! Now that the weather is warm and the water is not freezing, it is boating season! Ethan was a little more than excited and Sophie was not so much! HA!! We had a great time!!

Ethan's last soccer game

This has been a fantastic season!! Ethan loves it....which is a huge change from fall soccer. I think that he really enjoyed fall soccer, it was just hard for him to go for the full hour. That was the biggest change from Fall to Spring. He was all in it this Spring session. He made us very proud and we are looking forward to some fundamentals camps this summer at Davidson College. We know that he is only 4 but he is showing some skill already!! With his daddy"s genes that is a given!! Jason was a great athlete!! So we will see.

WOW..what a week!

It has been a crazy few weeks....it seems like all of my hair clients needed a touch-up....which is great, but exhausting. Although, I will say that everyone looked fabulous as they left. I am back at the sewing machine today and finished a few projects! YAY!! Cross one off the list, now onto the 8 others. (sigh) I plan to make my girlfriends curtains and more bags for Hip Chix!! Will post pictures soon!

little bunny foo-foo

We had a fantastic weekend!! It started off with a trip to Bass Pro shop for Ethan, Jason and Papa Chuck. It was Papa's birthday and he wanted to spend the day with Jason and Ethan at the Bass Pro Shop. Saturday we had Jason's family down for a bar-b-que and a cruise on the lake. It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend a Saturday. Sunday was...EASTER!! We usually go a little overboard on Easter because Ethan's birthday is the end of November and Sophie's is the first of February. So they have to go all year without anything....I know, so sad. :) So we make up for it at other times. Day of events: the Easter bunny came and we went to church...had a Easter egg hunt at at church..came home...grabbed a few things....drove to Clemmons...helped prepare lunch...ate...had another Easter egg hunt....visited with family...cleaned up....went to parents...spent the night....WHEW!! that wears me out just typing it. It was tiring but fun...and the kids had a blast!!

We are on Spring Break now and are going to enjoy a relaxing week around the house!! Here are a few pics of the weekend...

We had a little Lacrosse action in the backyard

Success!!

The Showroom!!

One of the bags...now will accessorize the arm of Kristen Marion!

The dresses! They have already changed a bit. I added another layer at the bottom.....beautiful!

I found this cute laundry hanger thingy at IKEA and I thought it would be great to display the skirts.

Thanks to everyone that came out to support me. I had a great turn out and sold lots of things. I took a break this weekend and got some much needed rest!! I have 20 orders to fill so I will begin sewing tomorrow.

flower, flower, fo..flower

So my latest obsession are these adorable flower pins!! They are so easy to make and look awesome on the bags that I make!! I now have a craft that I can do on the couch while Jason watches whatever game that is on! I am usually holed up upstairs sewing while Jason is downstairs. So now I feel like I can spend time with him and keep busy with my sewing!!

Expect to see them on skirts, bags and even dresses.
